A Dental Implant is merely a screw-like device that allows us to attach a tooth directly to the patient's jaw where a tooth has been lost due to trauma, decay or periodontal disease. Most Dental Implants in the United States are placed by one dentist and restored by another. This serves to effectively double the fee that the patient pays for these services. Dr. Davidoff places his own Dental Implants and restores them as well and this accounts for the savings that are offered to his patients. If you are from out of town, contact the office and arrange to send your dental records for review prior to coming to the area. This will give Dr. Davidoff a chance to familiarize himself with your dental situation and to determine what might be done to help you. Flora Gottlieb will be glad to assist you.

* Patients receiving implants may need to be be available for up to two weeks after implant placement so that Dr. Davidoff can check on the healing.
* Patients receiving extensive grafting procedures may have to be monitored by another dentist if they leave the area during the healing phase of treatment.
* There is a second stage to the implant surgery which is done approximately 3 to 4 months after the implants are placed. You can make arrangements to have this phase done elsewhere, but it is advisable to return to Boca Raton.
* Prosthetic reconstruction will usually take between two and four months to complete once the implants are placed. Time restrictions may prohibit this phase from being performed in Florida and might necessarily be carried out elsewhere.
